Joshua Tree Wedding

Joshua Tree Wedding

Easy Tiger was recently invited to play and provide sound for a stellar wedding reception and pool party out here in the High Desert.  The wedding and reception took place at Tumbleweed Sanctuary, in Yucca Valley.  The space itself is situated on eight plus acres, surrounded by Joshua trees and breathtaking views, which lead for a beautiful ceremony.  Once the dinner commenced after the ceremony, the DJing began. First some chill dinner music as the family and friends ate and made speeches, then moving on to some re-edits during the reception.

The the whole family made it on to the dance floor at one point, young and more seasoned dancers got down inside while we broadcast a silent disco outside, so as not to disturb the neighbors next to the Tumbleweed venue. The playlist consisted of house music re-edits and modern electronica, no chicken dance or cheesy pop music for these cool customers!

The next day the party continued at a secluded pool location in Wonder Valley, which is a more spread out part of the high desert. There Easy Tiger laid down some old hip-hop favorites, funk and soul inspired re-edits as well as some good, ol’ fashioned house music. The clients, wedding coordinator, and venue manager where all extremely pleased with the service and the Traction Sound system, it was a good feeling to meet and exceed expectations.

“Working with Nic and John to curate our wedding experience was easy, seamless, and downright fun. We had several calls with Nic and John to describe the vibe we wanted both at our wedding and our day after party and Easy Tiger was able to run with this and, in the process, create the wedding of our dreams. We knew we wanted someone who would be ok with bringing their art form to our event rather than us giving them a playlist, and their team absolutely nailed it! Furthermore, they also took the initiative to meet with the venue personnel beforehand and managed our silent disco headsets on the wedding night. As far as the experience goes, it was epic. From fun 80s re-edits at our wedding that got everyone from our 90 year old grandparents to our five year old nieces dancing, to funky electronica at our day after party, Easy Tiger brought it, sending us and our friends grooving into the desert sunset.”
